THIS was help me lot because i have same problem thanks for the information about thisA purist would tell you that it is best not to enter information that you are not sure of, but in practice this is not always easy. And then there are different reasons for not being sure of information, for example an act where the priest probably got the first name wrong, or information gleaned from the internet but in the latter case with varying degrees of uncertainty. .
Personally I use the "Act" field (in front of the date) where I put "w" if the information was found on the Web (Geneanet, Filae, ...) but it is reasonable to check this information very quickly but this is not always possible. Afterwards, it is in the individual or couple notes that we can express the reason for our doubts.
An important aspect of genealogy is the certainty of filiations. Généatique has two sections as standard to define the status of filiations “with the father” and “with the mother”. This information is so important that I placed these sections in the Essential tab where they are always available in the form of a checkbox; I added a "personal" section "Father filiation very probable" and mother filiation very probable" and in the tree I display the state of these filiations in the form of two triangles whose color gives the state of parentage (Green = certain; Red = Uncertain; Blue = Probable). This is very practical.
